Guangdong Province will create a replica of its pavilion for the online community during World Expo 2010 to let those who cannot go to the Expo visit the province’s exhibition via the Internet, the province’s information industry authority has said.

The Department of Information Industry of Guangdong has submitted the province’s participation plan as well as its Expo budget to the organizer.

Guangdong plans to showcase the province’s history, culture and economic development since the Reform and Opening up Policy began in 1978 in the“online pavilion.”It will provide a picture of a harmonious and stable province, according to the plan.

The online pavilion will provide a three-dimensional imitation of the actual pavilion from the outer appearance to the exhibitions inside.

The online pavilion will also be interactive, the department said.

The department said the online pavilion can also be an extension of the real pavilion as it can provide more detailed and background information.

The province will make the online pavilion permanent.
