Organizers promote Expo in Lithuania

Shanghai Expo organizers have geared up for promotional campaigns in Europe with a visit to Lithuania during which Lithuanian Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas was briefed on various Expo issues on Tuesday.
Zhou Hanmin, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, thanked the Lithuanian government for its support and participation. He said Chinese people treasured their friendship with Lithuania.
Kirkilas spoke highly of the Beijing Olympics and said he believed Expo 2010 would be as successful as the Olympics. Lithuania was expected to sign a participation contract with organizers on the sidelines of the third participants meeting in mid-November.

Zhou attended a promotional meeting attended by government officials and company representatives who have invested in the construction and operation of the country’s pavilion.
