Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA)

The Urban Best Practices Area is an opportunity for cities to participate in the World Expo independently. The area will not only present those commonly acknowledged, original and valuable programmes and practices designed to improve the quality of urban life by typical cities in the world, but also act as a platform for these cities to share and exchange experiences in urban construction and development. The UBPA will be divided into four exhibition fields, namely Livable Cities, Sustainable Urbanization, Protection and Utilization of Historical Heritages and Technological Innovation in Built Environment.
The UBPA mainly presents various on-going practices, along with some experimental examples which have huge application potentials.
The UBPA has a land area of 15.12 hectacres and is located in Section E of Puxi area in the enclosed area of the Expo Site. It is comprised of two blocks - the south and the north.
