IBM supports Expo 2010 as senior sponsor

IBM, a global technology company, will provide computer systems as well as integration and consulting services for World Expo 2010.
IBM recently signed a senior sponsorship agreement with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.
The United-States-based and the world's leading IT and business solution provider will help deliver on the World Expo 2010 theme of "Better City, Better Life."
Henry Chow, Chairman of IBM Greater China Group, said as a senior sponsor of the Expo, the company will give full play to its expertise in IT innovation
"With IBM's innovation strength, global resources and advanced technology, it will become an engine helping drive Shanghai's future IT development and building a better life for urban residents," Chow said.
Shanghai Executive Vice Mayor Yang Xiong and Zhong Yanqun, full time deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, attended the signing ceremony. Hong Hao, director of the Expo Bureau, signed the agreement with Chow.
To date, World Expo 2010 has signed with 13 and nine companies as global partners and senior sponsors respectively.
