Digging on the Puxi to Pudong tunnel for Metro Line 13 was completed early yesterday.

The five kilometer section from Madang Road in Puxi to Changqing Road in Pudong is specifically for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo stations, according to the Jiefang Daily report.

About 30 percent of the visitors to the Expo will use the metro line.

There are three stations in the section -- Lupu Bridge Station, World Expo Station and Changqing Road Station.

The section from Changqing Road to Madang Road is expected to be completed by mid March.
