Mayor says no Expo participant quit

When asked whether the Expo 2010 was affected by the international financial crisis, Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng told an online forum that none of the 231 participants have canceled or reduced their exhibitions.

The situation was being closely monitored by the International Expositions Bureau, he said.

Though there was uncertainty in the global economy, preparations for the Expo are being intensified. All the participants have been involved and want to be showcased at the Expo. "We are completely confident in the Expo 2010," Han said.
