Date:16/03/2009
Three Finnish firms representing the leading creative and expert designers of Finland will jointly produce the country's exhibition for the World Expo 2010, according to Finland's official World Expo 2010 Website.
Muotohiomo, which specializes in design and communications, Fantasiarakenne, which is well-known for exhibition arrangements, construction and lighting, and the Partanen & Lamusuo Partnership which creates diverse designs breaking the traditional boundaries between art and architecture, have won a design competition which attracted 14 outstanding teams.
The three Finland-based corporations will jointly form a design team to implement the Finnish Expo 2010 slogan "Sharing Inspiration." The exhibition is scheduled to be built in a 3,000-square-meter pavilion, which will rise from the water. Visitors will enter the pavilion over a bridge.
The competition was to create impressive experiences in the space, Petri Ryoppy, the exhibition manager of Finland at the Expo, noted.
Ryoppy said the Finnish exhibition at Expo 2010 aims to share Finnish viewpoints and solutions for a better life through an experiential way.
Construction on the pavilion will start at the end of April.
