Saint Lucia confirms participation in Expo

With the confirmation of Saint Lucia of its participation, 187 countries and 47 international organizations had accepted invitations to attend the World Expo 2010 Shanghai by April 17, 2009.
Saint Lucia, as a member of the Caribbean Community, will present its exhibition at a joint pavilion for the community.
The Caribbean Community has signed participation contracts on behalf of 10 of its members with 2010 World Expo organizers.
Edwin W. Carrington, Secretary General of the community, signed the contract. The 10 countries of the 14 members of the Caribbean Community to sign Expo deals are Dominica, Bahamas, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda, and Barbados.
Belize, a member of the community, has also confirmed its participation.
