The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines confirmed their participation in the 2010 World Expo on Tuesday, bringing the total number of participants to a record 236.
So far, all 14-member countries of the Caribbean Community have confirmed they will take part in the Expo.
The second conference for the participation of Caribbean countries was held in Georgetown, the capital of Guyana, on Tuesday.
Edwin W. Carrington, Secretary General of the community as well as the commissioner general of the community at Expo 2010, signed a participation contract on behalf of all the community participants with Huang Jianzhi, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.
Carrington said the community has set up a team to coordinate the exhibitions.
Representatives from eight Caribbean participants attended the conference.
To date, 20 countries that do not have formal diplomatic ties with China have confirmed participation.
