On March 27, the volunteer logo, slogan and song for World Exposition 2010 Shanghai China were unveiled.

The Expo 2010 Volunteer Logo marks the main body by the Chinese character “心”(means the heart), the English letter “V” and a peace dove carrying an olive branch. Similar to the Expo 2010 Emblem“世”(means the world), the volunteer logo represents the Chinese cultural identity and meanwhile the volunteers’ kindness and enthusiasm. “V” is the initial letter of the English word ”Volunteer”, which implicating its clear meaning of “group”. The flying peace dove on behalf of Shanghai, symbolizing the peace and fraternity, while the olive branch means the sustainable development and highlight the Expo Theme - Better City, Better Life.

The main slogan of Expo 2010 Volunteer is “At Your Service at Expo”, with three sub-slogans, “My Will, My Help, My Pleasure”, “2010, We’re Together as One” and “Our City, Your Joy”.

The Expo 2010 Volunteer Song “By your Side” emphasizes the every care from volunteers to the society and surroundings, with the active life attitude.

World Exposition is an event for the world to demonstrate its social, economic, cultural, scientific and technological achievements, and development. An enrichment of the world in front of the visitors, which would be more marvelous accompanied by the volunteers.

“志”(means will) is the hope of “Dedication, Fraternity, Mutual-aid and Progress”;

“愿”(means wish) is a good wish of Betty City, Betty Life;

“我”(means me) indicating that the volunteers will reach the hope and wish by their dedication.

2010, the world belongs to Shanghai; Shanghai also belongs to the world. 2010, our hearts will link together, to be the testimony on the realization of Betty City, Betty Life.

Under the Expo Theme, the future beauty of city is by no means existence without the volunteers. The volunteers’ selflessness, enthusiasm, friendship and hospitality will let Shanghai be more loveliness.
