Expo Tickets Set to Go On Sale

On February 26, the press conference for Expo 2010 tickets was held in Beijing. The Expo organizer introduced the up to date preparation of Expo 2010 and the ticketing, which indicated the Expo 2010 tickets set to go on sale.
The benchmark price for Expo 2010 ticket is RMB160. The tickets are to be taken in nine types in total, including Peak Day Single Day Admission, Peak Day Special Admission, Standard Day Single Day Admission, Standard Day Special Admission, 3 Day Admission, 7 Day Admission, Evening Admission, Group Admission and Student Group Admission.
The Expo tickets will be available for purchase either during the Expo session or in advance. When tickets are purchased in advance, there are 3 different pre-sale phases available. And the tickets will be available for purchase via authorized agents, travel agents and the Expo Bureau as well.
The Expo organizer will encourage people to reserve tickets in advance or buy group tickets in an attempt to control visitor flow. Tickets will be discounted for those who buy before the Expo opens on May 1, 2010.

On March 2, the Expo organizer signed contracts with four local companies and nine companies outside the Chinese mainland to sell Expo tickets.
March 27, the Expo Ticket Unveiling Ceremony of World Exposition 2010 Shanghai China was held in the Expo Media Service Center. The ceremony released the Expo ticket standard specimens of two categories and nine types in total to the globe. Sale has been initiated for the Group Admission.
