Guide to Application for Radio Frequency Licensing

During the period of the Shanghai Expo and its preparation, any organization or individual who occupies on a radio frequency, establishes or operates a radio station or uses any kind of radio transmission equipments in Expo pavilions, will be subjected to the following procedures.

Instructions on Radio Equipment entry-exit Management
During the period of the Shanghai Expo and its preparation, overseas radio equipments users should provide the Radio Frequency License for Expo 2010 Shanghai or its copy to the Customs of the People's Republic of China, while going through temporary entry formalities.
According to the laws of the People’s Republic of China, Chinese Customs can permit or examine radio equipments when provided with Radio Frequency License for Expo 2010 Shanghai or its copy and other relevant materials.
Radio transmission equipments with temporary entry approvals should be shipped out of the People's Republic of China within the approved time in accordance with Chinese Customs regulations.
Notes
The following documents shall be provided during the application process when necessary:The network design report, the technical parameters of equipments and the EMC (electro magnetic compatibility) testing report.
Applicants with Radio Frequency License for Expo 2010 Shanghai should contact Participants Service Hall to have their radio equipments inspected or tested by the relevant radio management department before operating (within 5 working days after your reservation). Authorized radio stations and radio equipments should be tagged with the Radio Equipment License label in accordance with the locations approved by the radio management department.
The followings do not need radio management department approval, or to be tagged with a Radio Equipment License label, in Expo pavilions: Roaming terminals accessed to public mobile telecommunication networks (in mainland China), PCMcia Cards, automotive radio remote control keys with transmission power below 1mW and radio remote control accessories for cameras
