Date:10/07/2009
Switzerland is looking for Expo staff for its kitchen, service areas and office in the Swiss Pavilion, according to its official Expo 2010 Website.
Gamma Catering, the catering partner with the pavilion, is responsible for the recruitment. It will run the a la carte restaurant, which can accommodate 160 diners (80 indoors and 80 outdoors) and a VIP lounge in the pavilion.
Those who are self-reliant, flexible, with professional behavior, keen perception and able to work under pressure are sought. The Website also said: "Additionally, we expect very good English skills and in certain positions knowledge of Chinese language and culture."
The restaurant, open from 9:30am to 10:30pm daily, offers Swiss cuisine tailored to Chinese tastes.
The VIP lounge will host events for between 40 and 100 people.
Meanwhile, the official Expo 2010 Website of Canada has announced it is searching for a personnel agency to hire Canadians for Expo 2010.
The agency is expected to hire approximately 30 to 40 personnel, some who may be living in China, to work at the Canada Pavilion.
Canada is using MERX, the internet-based bidding service, for recruitment. Those interested can consult www.merx.com for more information.
