Trip of Expo:Make Every Guest Feel at Home
Date:19/08/2009
For most of us, visiting Expo is a special trip.
Food, accommodation, transportation, shopping and entertainment,
all these tourist elements are that much more special when labeled Expo.
In 2010, let’s start——
It is estimated that Expo 2010 will attract 70 million visitors, and among which 42 million (3.5 million foreign visitors included) will need accommodation. Statistics show that Shanghai can provide 0.5 million beds by the end of April 2010, which can, for the most part, meet the needs of Expo visitors. The organizers of Expo try their best to optimize “accommodation”, in order to make sure guests feel at home.

Expo Village for exhibition staff
Expo Village is located at the north-east corner of the Pudong section, covering an area of 35 hectares with a floor space of 0.54 million square meters. It provides space for exhibition-staff accommodation, offices and restaurants.
The entire Expo Village includs five-star hotels, service apartments, ordinary apartments, economy hotels, business centers and other facilities.

Hotels in the City — colorful choices
With regard to the special condition of a large number of Expo visitors, there will be more accommodation and information provided for visitors in 2010, so as to ensure more convenient and comfortable accommodations.

In Pudong, more than a dozen luxury hotels are located in Lujiazui business district, only a 10-minute drive from the Expo site.
In Puxi, many luxury hotels are located in Jing’an district, Luwan district, Changning district, Huangpu district, Xuhui district, to name but a few. From there, visitors can get transportation links to the Expo site by metro or ground transportation.
Economical, express hotels are an inseparable resource in every big city. Some visitors prefer economical, clean and comfortable hotels.
Expo Family—familiarized with Shanghai
Expo Family, which sounds like a new term, is actually what we normally call “family hotel”. During the Expo, Shanghai City will consider setting up Expo Family to provide temporary accommodation. It will be a good choice if you want to experience Shanghai residents’ lives.
2-hour Traffic Circle
The so-called “2-hour Traffic Circle” can be understood as accommodation resources of Yangtze River delta cities. The Yangtze River delta city circle consists of 16 cities including Shanghai, Jiaxing, Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Suzhou, Wuxi, Zhenjiang, Nanjing, and some other cities of Zhejiang Province and Jiangsu Province, which all have numerous hotels.
