The Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination signs Expo tour agreement with Hebei Comfort International Travel Service Co. Ltd.

Hebei Comfort International Travel Service Co. Ltd today signed an agreement with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination to become the exclusive Expo ticket agent and the official Expo tour agency in Hebei Province.

Expo 2010 is another major event after the Beijing Olympics and up to 241 participants has confirmed participation, said Chen Xianjin, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.

Expo tours are one of the main channels to visit the Expo, Chen said. Visitors can form groups by becoming customers of official tour agencies and the tour agencies would offer more options to tourists, Chen added.

Expo tours in Hebei officially start.

The Expo ticketing policy has stipulated that group tickets can only be obtained via official Expo travel agencies. Up to 8 million Expo tickets have been sold.

Wang Xinyong, head of Hebei Tourism Administration, said that Expo tours are one of the key elements of Expo 2010. Hebei Comfort International Travel Service Co. Ltd, recommended by Hebei provincial government, is preparing to launch Expo tour products, he said. He hoped that Hebei government agencies will also contribute to the successful display of the province during Expo 2010.

Hebei Comfort International Travel Service is a joint venture between Beijing-based China Comfort Corp, state-owned Hebei Provincial Construction Investment Corp and private investors.
