The theme of Expo 2010 is "Better City, Better Life," representing the common wish of the whole humankind for a better living in future urban environments.
This theme represents a central concern of the international community for future policy making, urban strategies and sustainable development.

Expo Emblem
The emblem, depicting the image of three people-you, me, him/her holding hands together, symbolizes the big family of mankind.

Haibao
Created from a Chinese character meaning people, the mascot "Haibao" embodies the character of Chinese culture.

International Exhibitions Bureau, established in Paris, in 1928, regulates the frequency and quality of exhibitions falling within its remit.

Shanghai World Expo mascot Haibao appears in the city's two airports.

The cute blue figure of Shanghai World Expo mascot Haibao appeared yesterday in the city's two airports to welcome commissioners general from all around the world who will attend the 4th Participants' Meeting set for tomorrow and Thursday.

Ten inflatable models of Haibao, which means treasure of the sea in Chinese, were placed at Hongqiao International Airport and Pudong International Airport.
