Since its launch on May 1, 2009, the recruitment of volunteers for Expo 2010 Shanghai China has received wide support from all sections of society. People from home and abroad have shown enthusiasm in participation to the recruitment. In order to better acquaint the Expo volunteer applicants with Expo knowledge, the Common Training and Test of Volunteers for Expo 2010 Shanghai China was scheduled to kick off on July 15，2009. Relevant information is disclosed as follows:

Training of Expo Volunteers includes Common Training, Special Training, On-the-job Training and so on. Common Training, as the basic training, comprises three modules: Common knowledge of World Expo, Common knowledge of Shanghai Expo and Notes for volunteers. According to the selection requirements for Expo volunteers, all the volunteer applicants shall take the Common Training and Test. Those who pass the test shall then be short listed.

The Common Training and Test are conducted online. For those who take the training and test in English, please log on to the English version of Shanghai Expo Volunteer Recruitment Website www.expovol.com and click “Volunteer Training & Test” to enter the online training interface. After the training is completed, applicants shall use their own passport number as user name and Email address as password to take the online test (Both the passport number and the Email address shall be consistent with those registered).

The test consists of 10 questions derived from Common Training; all questions are randomly selected from the database. The test lasts about 20 minutes.

Those who have successfully submitted their applications can take the tests at anytime. New applicants should take the tests 7 working days thereafter. All the tests shall be completed by January 18,2010.

If applicants fail the test, please take the make-up test from January 9, 2010 to January 18, 2010.

To ensure the successful recruitment of volunteers, volunteer applicants should take the tests as soon as possible.
