Anhui prepares fine food and folk art for Expo

Visitors to Anhui Province's World Expo 2010 exhibition will be able to taste Anhui cuisine (Hui cai), one of the eight most famous cuisines in China, and enjoy a folk art extravaganza as well.
Huangmei Opera and Huagudeng, a kind of dancing with handkerchiefs, drums and lanterns, are among the performances to be staged at the pavilion.
Anhui will celebrate its special Expo week from June 23 to 27. Each Chinese province, autonomous region and municipality has a designated week at the Expo to showcase their culture and art.
Anhui will also display 16 intangible cultural heritage crafts such as the production of Mo (Chinese solid ink) and Xuan paper as well as carving.
Anhui will lead visitors through its beautiful old streets and explore the success of its merchants as well as its urban development in its virtual exhibition at Expo Shanghai Online.
