Date:19/01/2010

The organizer of the 2010 World Expo yesterday signed a service provider for its International Broadcast Center (IBC) project.
Beijing-based Newauto Company will assist in the design and operation of the center and is responsible for its development and maintenance, according to a project sponsorship deal signed yesterday with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.
The company, which specializes in audio-visual solutions and technology is experienced in IBC field and cooperated with the organizers of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 11th National Games, among other big events.
Newauto has finished the overall design and polishing of the project, which has won the approval from the organizer.
The International Broadcast Center on the fourth floor of the Expo Center covers about 3,500 square meters.
The organizers said in December that they "will set up the center and produce public signals for important activities for accredited media in order to better serve the broadcast media and facilitate their coverage."
IBC will include "master control dispatching rooms, TV studios, radio studios, an Internet studio, radio or TV production area and radio or TV broadcast facilities at the Expo site," according to the bulletin.
Installation and testing will conclude by the end of March.
