Award scheme launched for pavilions
Date:22/01/2010
International participants at the 2010 World Expo will be awarded for their theme development, exhibition innovation and architectural designs, the organizers announced yesterday at a conference for domestic participants.
Only the official international participants of the Expo are eligible for the three types of awards, each in a gold, silver and bronze.
Their pavilions will fall into four categories - self-built pavilions covering more than 4,000 square meters, self-built pavilions between 2,000 and 4,000 square meters, self-built pavilions less than 2,000 square meters plus the 42 rented pavilions, and the 11 joint pavilions.
The assessment process will be in accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Exhibitions Bureau.
About 21 percent of International participants will be awarded, almost the same as that of the Saragoza Expo and the Aichi Expo.
