The construction and decoration works on the Expo Boulevard in the World Expo site was finished yesterday.

The Expo Boulevard, which is regarded as part of the main entrance to the Shanghai World Expo, is 1,045-meter long. Almost a quarter of the more than 400,000 daily visitors will enter the Expo site through the boulevard.

It features six structures pointing skyward, known as the Sunny Valley, that can collect rainfall and disperse sunshine into the underground level of the boulevard.

The Expo Boulevard project now enters into the next phase to get the facilities ready to serve visitors during the Expo period starting from May, said Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.
