Emblem

The emblem, depicting the image of three people-you, me, him/her holding hands together, symbolizes the big family of mankind.

Mascot

Created from a Chinese character meaning people, the mascot "Haibao" embodies the character of Chinese culture.

BIE

International Exhibitions Bureau, established in Paris, in 1928, regulates the frequency and quality of exhibitions falling within its remit.

Organizer reports updates to BIE

A group of organizers for the upcoming World Expo yesterday reported the latest progress in preparation to Vicente Gonzalez Loscertales, secretary-general of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE), during a visit to BIE's headquarters in Paris, France.

The two sides discussed national day plans for pavilions and receptions during the six-month event.

The delegation attended an exhibition to promote Spain Pavilion in Madrid on Friday. They will fly to Stockholm for a similar promotional event for the Sweden Pavilion on Thursday.
