Date:22/02/2010
Shanghai Party Secretary Yu Zhengsheng yesterday ordered local authorities to spare no efforts in ensuring the security of the upcoming World Expo, which is the "most important and overwhelming task for Shanghai."
His call came during a conference honoring those who made outstanding contributions to Shanghai's social security.
Yu urged authorities to tackle prominent issues threatening social security and achieving sustainable harmony and stability.
He stressed that the key lies with the public and officials should work for the benefits of residents to win their support and mobilize them to do a good job hosting the Expo.
