The theme of Expo 2010 is "Better City, Better Life," representing the common wish of the whole humankind for a better living in future urban environments.
This theme represents a central concern of the international community for future policy making, urban strategies and sustainable development.

Expo Emblem
The emblem, depicting the image of three people-you, me, him/her holding hands together, symbolizes the big family of mankind.

Haibao
Created from a Chinese character meaning people, the mascot "Haibao" embodies the character of Chinese culture.

International Exhibitions Bureau, established in Paris, in 1928, regulates the frequency and quality of exhibitions falling within its remit.

Sri Lankan ambassador to China visits Bureau

A delegation headed by HE Karunatilaka Amunugama, the Sri Lankan Ambassador to China, today exchanged views over the pavilion's national day performance plan with the organizer.

Hu Jinjun, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, attended the meeting.

The day will fall on July 18. Sri Lanka will choose five cities to display its development through its 3,000-year history at a 2,000-square-meter rented pavilion.
