About 380 more officials will join the Expo organizing work “on loan” during the Expo operations, said officials during a human resources coordination conference today in Shanghai.
The number of officials on loan from other government agencies and institutions has increased to 1,371, or 76.5 percent of all officials working in the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.
Among all the middle or higher levels of the Expo officials, officials on loan has reached 73.8 percent, becoming the backbone of the Expo organizers.
Shen Hongguang, Organizing Minister of CPC Shanghai Committee, urged government agencies to offer their outstanding staff to participate in the Expo operation.
