Advisors said that CPPCC should offer advice not only for Expo 2010 itself but also for spreading Expo 2010's message and influence onto other economic and social developments.
Shanghai’s top political advisor Feng Guoqin said that CPPCC has offered good advices for a “smooth and relatively fast” development, social harmony and stability, economy achievements in financially difficult times.
CPPCC has organized press conferences and speeches in recent two annual meetings to promote Expo 2010 among CPPCC members, Feng added. He said he was also impressed that many CPPCC leaders came to Shanghai to inspect the preparation work for Expo 2010.
Political advisors also said that this year is a challenging year, during which China has to upgrade its economic structure, promote sustainable development, build a harmonious society and beef up the quality of people's lives.
They also said that they will better carry out their responsibilities by submitting proposals between CPPCC sessions, coordinating resources within CPPCC and local political advisory bodies as well launching in-depth research projects.
