China's State Grid Pavilion, dubbed the "Magic Box," is ready to welcome visitors. Construction was finished on Wednesday.
The power supplier's pavilion is a metallic square with a crystal cube embedded inside. It will provide unprecedented audio and visual experiences making it worth the visit.
Patrons will be invited to stand at the center of a 20-meter-high cubic theater with six screens covering the walls, ceiling and floor. The screens will cover a 720-degree space to let audiences feel that they are fully integrated.
The images will keep changing and even whirling. Visitors will experience sensations as if they are surfing in the sea and being engulfed by waves, or standing on a cliff and then dropping. Handrails will be installed for patrons to prevent them falling down.
The movie will tell a four-minute story about comfortable future life made possible by intelligent power systems.
The State Grid's responsibility also includes offering backup power supply, dealing with power emergency and power support for large-scale Expo events.
