Poland Pavilion plan submitted
Date:01/04/2010
Poland Pavilion's operator submitted its activity plan during the World Expo yesterday.
Janusz Daszczynski, director of the pavilion, visited the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and discussed the activity plan and event affairs with Hu Jinjun, the bureau's deputy director general.
The Poland Pavilion is composed of three concepts: Humans, Creativity and the City. As a perfect example of Polish architecture, it mirrors the combination of modernity and folk art, representing the creativity and imagination of Poland.
The design of the pavilion, appearing to be a folded paper box, is inspired by its folk art: paper cut-outs. During daytime, the exhibition hall will be filled with light filtering through paper-cut patterns; at night, it will shine with different colors and leave a deep impression on its visitors.
