The UK Pavilion launched the two-year countdown to the London Olympics yesterday by presenting an Olympics' show "Living the Dream" and a new online competition.

The show will be performed by a troupe of young actors and musicians from the UK's National Youth Theatre and the online competition at www.ukshanghaiexpo.com encourages Netizens to upload images of their favorite sporting moment.

The operators of the pavilion said the Expo 2010 is the perfect place to launch the two-year countdown, because the London Olympics with its emphasis on sustainable development and public participation is in harmony with "Better City, Better Life."

London is hoping through the Olympics to reach communities all around the world and inspire them to use the power of sport to enrich the lives of millions of children and young people of all abilities, in schools and communities across the world, particularly in developing countries, through the power of high-quality and inclusive physical education, sport and play.

Visitors to the UK Pavilion can also get a sneak preview of the London Olympics Park by visiting the Legacy Corner at the pavilion.
