Togo's time to celebrate
Date:20/08/2010
Togo celebrates its National Pavilion Day today.
To celebrate the occasion, dancers from Togo will stage a performance at Africa Square.
The overall appearance of the pavilion represents traditional Togolese architecture.
It is decorated with all sorts of handicrafts — carpets, paintings, masks and sculptures — showcasing the country's rich culture.
Under the theme "Prosperity of Urban Economy," the exhibit focuses on showing how Lome, the capital, has developed in recent years, including how the city has dealt with problems during urbanization.
