500K visitors tour Expo on 119th day

Fine weather brought more visitors to the Expo Site yesterday. A total of 500,700 visitors crowded the Expo site by 7pm yesterday.
Among yesterday's visitors, 141,600 were group tourists and 79,400 used free tickets that the Shanghai government distributed to local residents.
A total of 75,956 tickets were sold on site, with 26,135 night admissions.
As of 6pm, the gate at Houtan had received 102,000 visitors, compared to 86,000 at Shangnan Road, 72,000 via Changqing Road and 62,000 through Gaoke Road W.
A total of 69 shows were staged by 5pm within the site, attracting 12,600 spectators. Some 5,514 volunteers worked on the site.
The Expo Site transportation system carried 823,100 visitors. By 4pm, five medical stations in the site received 379 visitors, of whom 14 were externally injured and 17 had mild heatstroke.
According to the Expo Bureau's Ticketing Centre, some 90,000 group visitors will visit today.
Twenty visitors to the virtual Netherlands Pavilion at www.expo.cn were given a VIP tour of the real pavilion with their families yesterday morning after winning an online lucky draw. Each received a framed picture of the Netherlands Pavilion and a crown-shaped pin from the pavilion's director, Weird Vonk. They were also treated to Dutch wafers.
People who browse the SAIC-GM Pavilion at www.expo.cn today between 10am and 2pm could win fast access to the real pavilion on August 31.
