Argentine dancer Iaki Urlezaga will bring his Ballet Concierto to Expo Shanghai tomorrow to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the independence of Argentina. The Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra is scheduled to perform with them.
Iaki Urlezaga has been performing in Apollo Theater in Spain for a month to great success. He specially created the work he will perform at Expo for the anniversary. Lilian Giovine, the artistic director of Ballet Concierto, also will be the artistic director of this show. They invited dancers Eliana Franco Figueroa and Franco Cadelago to join in the show.
Urlezaga is a contemporary dancer with an element of modern dance and jazz dance. The show uses Iaki’s dance style.
Together with Giovine and Gao Jian, the conductor of Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Urlezaga will perform in the Red Hall at the Expo Centre from 8pm to 9:30pm tomorrow.
