Brazil brings carnival to Expo

From September 4 to 7, a Brazilian song and dance ensemble will entertain visitors at the America Square with flamboyant Latin music and swings. Some of their performances are exclusively created for Expo 2010.
Their shows are part of the celebration of Brazilian Independence Day which falls on September 7.
The head of the ensemble is choreographer and dancer Carlinhos de Jesus, who is known for his brilliant dances at the Brazilian Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. He is considered one of the best professional samba dancers in the world.
At the World Expo, Carlinhos de Jesus and his fellow dancers will perform "Samba do Carlinhos," which is set to galvanize everyone into dance to the sound of Brazilian beats. And for those who do not know how to dance, Carlinhos de Jesus will invite them to learn along with him.
A special performance entitled "This is Brazil" will also be presented on September 7 at the same venue, featuring the magic of the best Brazilian Carnival dances, like Frevo, Forro, Samba and Lambada.
