Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and his delegation toured Expo Site this morning.

Accompanied by Shao Huixiang, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, Yanukovych first toured Ukraine Pavilion in Zone C.

Then Yanukovych then visited China Pavilion. He watched a movie about 30 years of Chinese urbanization, visited the bronze chariot from the Terra Cotta Army and watched the animated version of the painting "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" by Zhang Zeduan during Song Dynasty (960-1279).

Ukraine pavilion's theme is "From Ancient to Modern City" and it showcases development of Ukraine from agricultural to modern times. Colorful patterns and symbols on the outer walls of the pavilion date back to ancient cultures of local tribes. Whirlpools in snake patterns in the middle signify the passing of time and changes of climate. The sun symbolizes power.
