The army of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC) and the grandeur of the Tang emperors’ tours of inspection will feature at a parade tomorrow to mark the beginning of Shaanxi cultural week.
A total of 300 performers will dress like terra-cotta warriors to replicate the battering array of the Qin army.
Others will dress like a Tang Dynasty emperor and empress as well as civil and military officials. The parade, which also features rural folk dances, waist drums and Qinqiang opera, will be held on Bocheng Road daily at noon.
Coupons for tourist attractions in the province will be handed out at the Baosteel Stage in the Pudong Expo site. These will include the Xi’an Museum and Crested Ibis Park in Hanzhong City.
