Malawi Pavilion will showcase the country’s experience and solutions concerning urban regeneration, cultural preservation, economic transformations, urban-rural relations, and environmental changes as well as urban responsibilities.

Pavilion Highlights

Highlight 1: Original and Ecological Malawi

When visitors enter the pavilion, they will be surrounded by the gorgeous scenery: golden beach, blue sky, serene lake and other natural views, all pristine and original. Malawi’s scenic beauty and culture will be reproduced through distinctive local architectures, World Heritage the Lake Malawi National Park, the Lake Malawi hailed as the most beautiful lake in centralsouthern Africa, the traditional boat by the lake, and conventional handicrafts with African characteristics.

Highlight 2: Modern Malawi

The modern civilization will be presented to the world through the exhibition of four cities, namely, Lilongwe, Blantyre, Zomba and Mzuzu. Malawi will also demonstrate its experience in protecting and improving urban environment, and in preserving traditional heritages. Some projects for improving the social and economic life of city dwellers will also be on display.
