Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, met Siemens chairman and CEO Richard Hausmann yesterday for further discussions over the company's Expo participation plan and the ongoing cooperation of both parties.

Chen Xianjin, vice director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, also attended the meeting.

Siemens became one of the global partners of World Expo 2010 Shanghai on May 19 last year, the first multinational company to independently apply for a partnership role and succeed.

Hong said Expo organizers expected brilliance from Siemens while Hausmann said Siemens always brought forth innovations in hi-tech fields. He expressed Siemens’strong willingness to contribute to the Shanghai Expo.
