Shanxi Province will make Shanghai World Expo its top priority and gather the province's power to prepare for the event, the deputy governor of Shanxi said during a conference with Expo organizers.

Li Xiaopeng, also the director of the Shanxi Organizing Committee for the Expo, said the provincial government will carry out all central government orders for the Expo and work in line with the organizers.

Zhou Hanmin, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, gave a progress report on Expo 2010. Liu Zhiyuan, Shanxi Council for the Promotion of International Trade, gave a brief on the province’s Expo preparation work.

Han Heping, deputy secretary general of the Shanxi government, and Expo liasion vice director Yao Rui were present at the conference.
