Q1. When will the expo tickets be sold?

A:Tickets will be sold both in advance and during the Expo session and the pre-sale is further divided into 3 phases. In the three pre-sale phases, tickets will be available at preferential prices.

Pre-sale Phase I (Mar. 27, 2009 – Jun. 30, 2009): Purchase is only available for groups as organizations, institutions and enterprises, etc. Peak Day Single Day Admission and Standard Day Single Day Admission tickets are available during this phase.

Pre-sale Phase II (Jul. 1, 2009 – Dec. 31, 2009): Both individual and groups are allowed to purchase Peak Day Single Day Admission and Standard Day Single Day Admission tickets during this phase.

Pre-sale Phase III (Jan. 1, 2010 – Apr. 30, 2010): Both individual and groups are allowed to purchase Peak Day Single Day Admission, Peak Day Special Admission, Standard Day Single Day Admission, Standard Day Special Admission, 3 Day Admission and 7 Day Admission tickets during the phase.

Expo session sales (May 1, 2010 – Oct. 31, 2010): Both individual and groups are allowed to purchase Peak Day Single Day Admission, Peak Day Special Admission, Standard Day Single Day Admission, Standard Day Special Admission, 3 Day Admission, 7 Day Admission and Evening tickets during this phase.

Q2. Why is purchase only available for groups during Pre-sale Phase I?

A: Expo Bureau will provide special discount tickets to encourage purchase in advance and in big amount during Pre-sale Phase I, so that purchase is only available for groups as organizations, institutions and enterprises, etc., during Pre-sale Phase I. Groups shall sign a contract with authorized agents to ensure the purchased tickets shall not be resold in the market.

Q3. When will the tickets be available for the public?

A: From Jul. 1, 2009, Expo tickets will be sold via outlets, websites and hotlines provided by authorized agents. .During the Expo session, people can purchase the tickets via on site sales outlets and kiosks, etc. Besides, the Expo Bureau will appoint travel agents to organize group tours to Expo 2010.

Q4. Can individuals purchase Group Admission tickets?

A: No. Group tickets are designed to encourage organized visits and balance visitor flow. They are divided into Group Admission and Student Group Admission. The tickets are not available for individuals. The Group Admission is sold through the authorized travel agents in the form of tour package. The Student Admission is sold through the authorized travel agents in the form of tour package for students or through the educational institutes. The tickets should be purchased in advance and reservation is required before entry. They are sold on a contractual basis to authorized travel agents or education institutes rather than to individuals.

Q5. How to purchase the Peak Day tickets?

A: Peak Day tickets are designed to control visitor flow on predicted peak days of the Expo by designating dates, limiting volume and increasing prices. The tickets will be available for individuals from Jul. 1, 2009. Please purchase as early as possible due to the amount limit.

Q6. Are there any discounts available for purchase in advance?

A: Yes. The Expo Bureau encourages purchase in advance for which tickets will be available at preferential prices. Detailed information will be issued in the form of Ticketing Bulletin by the Expo Bureau on the Expo official website www.expo2010china.com.

Q7. How and where to purchase expo tickets from the outlets?

A: Domestic sales outlets will be set up in all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities via authorized agents. Detailed information will be issued in the form of Ticketing Bulletin by the Expo Bureau on the Expo official website www.expo2010china.com.

Q8. How can overseas visitors purchase the Expo tickets?

A: Expo tickets are also available for overseas purchasers through channels appointed by the Expo Bureau in different countries and regions across the world. Detailed information will be issued in the form of Ticketing Bulletin by the Expo Bureau on the Expo official website www.expo2010china.com.

Q9. How to purchase the tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of Expo 2010?

A: The purchase of Ceremony tickets differs from that of other Expo tickets. The Opening and Closing Ceremonies are under planning, and the regulations for those tickets sales will be made separately and announced later.

Q10. Can Expo tickets be refunded?

A: No. The Expo tickets are not returnable. Please read the relevant regulations carefully before purchase.

Q11. Can Expo tickets be replaced if lost?

A: No. Since the ticket owner is not required to get registered, there will be no replacement for the lost ticket. Please always keep your own ticket appropriately.
